Task: ESP32 Xtensa firmware (not stripped, DWARF) for an IoT thermostat exposing a Mosquitto MQTT broker. Solution: reverse the Xtensa _xd() alternating-key XOR to recover the MQTT username, dictionary-bruteforce the password, then read the flag from a retained debug topic (NG-2391 debug channel left active).
